I’m going to be working on a development of Christopher Alexander’s intended mathematical approach to characterising life and feeling in architecture; however, instead of architecture, I will be considering language and communication.

An interesting link that puts Alexander’s work in further context and that will also be involved in setting out the shape of my approach is the 1982 debate between Christopher Alexander and Peter Eisenman: “Contrasting Concepts of Harmony in Architecture”.
